Cliffs near Etretat

A flower in Monet's garden, Giverny.

Richard the Lionheart's castle, from around 1200.

D-Day landings: The cratered headland between Omaha and Utah beaches, where the rangers scaled sheer cliffs to destroy gun emplacements

The hall of mirrors at the palace of Versailles, where the WWI treaty was signed.

Said vi ses to the fam this morning, this arvo I jump back to stockholm, then tomorrow I'm off to Kos for the conference.

Thank you my children... internets here in Kos are a bit primitive (all the computers here are made out of giant stone cogs and gears, and powered by dripping water) so it might be a while before you see any more pics from me

My talk is tomorrow morning, and the Sav-man is here so we're discussing my Australia visit in the summer.

xx all, more news as it comes to hand.

It's so nice to see those pictures. We lived in Normandy for a year when I was 10, and I totally remember those cliffs. Lovely.

Are you sweating in Kos?

Did you ride a donkey at any point?

Was it sweating?
