Ice flow, nowhere to go

MarsfjÀllen pics here

Kinda busy, so I'll resort to point form:
  • Weather was perfect.
  • Group was nice, old friends Stina and Annika, and several new friends.
  • Skiing with a 15kg pack is hard, I fell over often.
  • Nice display of northern lights to welcome us on Friday night. We skied a few km, then set up camp in a forest.
  • Sat morning, we skied up into the mountains, set up camp around lunchtime, toured around the area sat arvo and sunday morning, then packed up after lunch on sunday and skied back down the hill.
  • Sunday arvo we went to a resort in a nearby town, had a swim, bubble-pounding spa, and a sauna - perfect way to relax after a hard weekend skiing.
  • Cross-reference with last year's autumn hiking trip in the same area.
  • Once again, my everything aches.

So where are the tele's?

Stina and Nina were doing quite respectable tele's. I tried a couple, but the axis of rotation was more like my head towards the ground, rather than to the right or left.

And when you fell over with the pack, did you get up with the pack on, or did you take the pack off first?

usually pack off, unless
a) I fell in a favourable position
b) I had a helpful assistant to hoist me up
c) I was wearing felle (skins? sticky furry things under the skis)
