Comedians take you seriously

Looking forward to hitting the cans hard on the following recently confirmed Soirées, both generously funded by the Swedish taxpayers:
  1. Stockholm with Mikey (as in Paul's mate) in November, who as luck would have it will be passing through there on way to London just as I'm passing through on way home from Korea. We have both modified our travel plans slightly to incorporate some serious canning on.
  2. Dockta Cok and KT in NYC in December, on the way back home from the conference in San Diego. It will be just days after both my birthday and the cok's. I foresee the purchasing of such products as:

(Seriously now, it would have been a crime to only show that picture once on this blog)

And since they seemed popular, here's another nice piccie by David Doubilet, entitled "young fisherman with tiger shark"

This is not fake. It was taken in 1973, long before the days of easy photoshopping.

Indeed. I wonder, is the boy about to get the shock of his life, or is he knowingly toying with the shark?

Risky business!

Wow. He looks so calm... like he doesn't know what's coming, then: BAM! Kinda like how I felt before finding out I've been volunteered to drink dry sacks...

What do you think about Norway - thought any more about it?

I'm very happy to have an open offer there. I've decided to put off all career-move decisions until next year.

Norway has a lot going for it.

All the options are shifting back and forth somewhere in the back of my mind. Including "options" in the sense of mat's job.

S'long as you keep it in Europe. I am trying to rally the european contingent. All this buggering off to US thing. I won't be having it.

Norway is good, but as has been mentioned elsewhere, they are all depressingly good looking. I would be too scared, and I am not ashamed to admit it...

Um - I think Mat is already doing Mat's job...

But if you can work out a way to swap jobs with friends, you could line me up the singstar producing role, and that would be sweet as.

Why doesn't anyone want my job? You get a snazy pass card with your photo on it! ... and whenever you say anything you can end it in, "... , Ofcom announced today". It is fun!

Ummm, I know you're enjoying it, but I honestly have no idea what your job actually is.
