Glad Påsk, Turbo Krist på en pinne!
That's Swedish for: Happy Easter, Turbo Christ on a stick!
I don't think it can be understood without a tedious explanation of various in-jokes, but trust me, it makes sense, and it's hilari-arse. Turbo Christ is, as you might guess, like Jesus, only faster.
The Easter long weekend has been very enjoyable. I think this is the first time since I arrived in Sweden (nearly a year and a half ago!) that I've spent four straight days without either:
On Friday night was the farewell for (2 of the 3) Belgian girls, who are heading home. I've only known them a few weeks (since Åre) but I will miss them very much, such was their entertainment value.
As I didn't bring my camera, I'm dependent for the mo on what Marjukka has put on facebook. Here's Marjukka (Finnish) and Anna (Belgian):

They were so happy that I wore the Belgian Beer t-shirt Dad gave me (ta), that they decided they would "dress me up like an Australian", which turned out to mean they would try to stuff an opened umbrella down my shirt, then tell me its a parasol and I'm on a beach vacation. Here's me and Marjukka enjoying the sun:

Saturday arvo, everyone feeling quite hungover, we went to Amanda's place and painted easter eggs and chickens, which culminating in the filming of a stop-motion masterpiece of cinema, starring Turbo Christ:

Coming soon to a cinema near you, it's hotly tipped to sweep the floor at next year's Oscars. (Not win anything, literally sweep the floor.)
Saturday night I went out to a club in town with Stephen (an Irish bloke) and a couple of Swedish girls, and there was much hilarity and merriment. Sunday morning I got up again feeling quite hungover, but managed to play a few games of squash with my work crew, then head back to Amanda's in the evening an Easter dinner, a bring-a-plate affair with lots of yummy food (much of it egg-based). Presumably photos of that event will also soon appear on facebook.
So, all in all, also fairly tiring, but in a different, more drunken way. Today (Monday) I've committed myself to a program of doing absolutely bugger all.
In conclusion: glad påsk till alla mina kompisar!

- Going to work, or
- Going away to another country, or skiing, or hiking, or something comparably tiring.

Happy Easter everyone except for the suckers in the US who have to work. Boo!
Did you find a lot of eggs?
Apart from dinner?
Really? that's gay.
In Sweden you get Thursday off as well, so it's actually a five day weekend! Except that I didn't realise this and went to work on Thursday anyway, and my boss was there, so I was trapped into a few long discussions with him.
Sweden is the land of holidays, and even when people are working it's the land of 6-10 coffee breaks a day.
Yeah - it's pretty rough actually - I'm thinking of taking up smoking to get more breaks, and emphesema. I dont know how to spell that.
Oi - wanna jibber jabber? I'm working on something boring at the moment - I'll check if you're there.
Where's our goddamn original artwork anyway?
tja, det var trevlig att jibber jabber med dig... din bild kommer snart!
