Reswedeifcation av denna bloggen

For the last couple of weeks, this blog has been way too Korean, and not nearly Swedish enough. Eller: Som senast två veckor denna bloggen har vara mycket för Koreansk, och inte Svensk nog.

Full Swedish programming will not return for little while yet, but in the mean time I suggest you all check out the Swedish Mixtape from Triple J. One of the members of the first band featured lives near me. Pop 77 listeners will recognise quite a few songs in there.

Most radio in Sweden is pretty crap. Strangely enough, I've heard more good Swedish songs through the J's than any Swedish station.

Some other good mixtapes there too, e.g. Danger Mouse.

Was that their introductory greeting - 'Hi, I've shagged Danger Mouse'?

I've shagged Danger Mouse now? Man ... these black outs are getting worse...

In other news - Jesus Christ! The Swedish are odd. Odd, odd, odd. In a good way.

Friday today. Nobody ever dislikes Friday. It is undoubtedly the best day.

Actually, in Swedish it would be "Hej, jag har knullat farlig musen"

After about twenty thousand listens over the last 24hrs, I'd have to say "Like a Pen" (track linked to in my second comment above) is my favourite song of this year.

Apparently The Knife are a brother and sister team. The sister is the girl on the left in "You take my breath away" (first comment above). Found some more by them, gotta love YouTube.

Pass this on
- Never has a guy dancing with a transvestite been so hypnotic. The guy is the brother in The Knife, why does he look so familiar?

Silent Shout
- I think this was on the JJJ thing. Described by a review I saw on the web as "built around a droning one-note bassline, a maddeningly random synth arpeggio blipping all over the place and a choir of nightmarish pitch-shifted voices chanting about their teeth falling out"

Heartbeats
- You probably know the acoustic version from the Sony ads (also on the JJJ thing), but this is the original.

And the other chick in "you take my breath away" is Jenny Wilson, another Swedish singer. You probably recognise this.
